Born in Dayton, Ohio, Rion Robinson was a standout individual from a young age. His commitment to serving others was evident early on. At the age of 21, in the midst of a his collegiate football career at Miami (OH) University, Rion experienced a profound calling to ministry. This calling resonated with a sense of purpose he had felt since he was 10 years old. He embraced this calling, redirecting his path towards a life of spiritual leadership.
Rion’s dedication led him to Columbus, Ohio, where he made a significant impact as a Youth Pastor and Elder at the Worship Center of Central Ohio for eight years. His work here was multifaceted, ranging from technology to relationship building to teaching and preaching the Word of God, showcasing his unique ability to create structures that enhance community and faith. He continued his ministry at the City of Grace, serving as an Elder and guiding the congregation in various capacities.
Beyond his ministerial work, Rion has made his mark as a sought-after motivational speaker. His speeches focus on personal and professional development, continuous improvement, and growth. Later in his professional career, Rion achieved certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, specializing in Continuous Improvement and Organizational Change Management (OCM). He has influenced a broad range of organizations, from startups to Fortune 17 companies, demonstrating his exceptional leadership skills. In the realm of creativity, Rion is the host of the podcast ‘Shifts and Ladders’, where he inspires listeners to discover and nurture their God-given potential.
Rion has been happily married for 13 years to his college sweetheart, Desiree Robinson. They are proud parents to two children, Emery (7) and Gabriel (1). His family life is a testament to his dedication and love, mirroring his professional and spiritual commitments.
