The Story of the Young Rich man says that it is easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than a rich man enter the gates of heaven.
While that is a great lesson in humility and letting go of your riches for the betterment of the community around you, it can also provide great insight into the emotional riches or weight that we carry. Sometimes in order to live a lean life and grow, we need to learn that we’re not only hoarding materialistic things, but also experiences and trauma.
In order for us to experience all that God has to offer, we have to make ourselves lean and live a life that is not held back by the weight of our experiences, good or bad holding us back.
